Alan has been offering a free e-waste removal service to the Deep South community for over seven years.

He collects unwanted or broken electronic and electrical items from homes and businesses — helping residents dispose of them responsibly and keeping harmful waste out of landfill.

Alan works with a small team from Masiphumelele who repair and refurbish items wherever possible. This creates employment, supports skills development and empowers others through hands-on training and repair work.

Their focus is simple:
Repair, reuse, repurpose and recycle.

What Alan collects

• TVs and computer monitors
• Laptops and cellphones
• Fridges and household appliances
• Small electrical items
• Broken or working electronics
• General electronic junk

If it runs on electricity, he’ll likely take it. Responsible disposal of e-waste protects the environment and reduces landfill. Wherever possible, items are repaired, reused or responsibly recycled.
